Etana has had a very successful financial year ending 30 June 2010. We are still busy crunching the numbers, and will post our latest financials as soon as they’re ready.
Etana is the Swahili word for eternal strength, a concept that underscores our strong heritage and financial pedigree, as well as our A+ Global cREDit Rating.
Start-up shareholders’ funds totalled R125-million, with initial gross written premium of R650-million.
Thanks to sound risk underwriting principles, we have recorded underwriting profits for 15 years in a row to June 2009. Our focus remains on underwriting for profit while driving sustainable growth throughout our business.
