Commrisk Insurance Brokers was established on 1st January 2001 as a national commercial insurance
brokerage following a management buyout of the Commercial and Industrial book of the Standard Bank
Group by certain directors of Standard Bank Insurance Services.
The management buyout included a valuable national footprint with representation in all the major centres along with high intellectual capital and many years of exceptional expertise staffing all the branches.
In 2007 Multirisk Managers bought a controlling interest in Commrisk. The Group’s national network
throughout South Africa is energised by over 100 highly qualified staff, delivering expertise to every region.
In 2009 Multirisk Managers and Commrisk amalgamated to streamline and better utilize their
resources on one IT platform, national footprint and administration system.
The two entities are now trading as Commrisk Insurance Brokers (Pty) Limited.
