On average, each member of our senior leadership has more than 20 years’ business insurance experience, bringing a breadth of specific expertise to the Etana product line.
More than 40% of the Etana management team is black, in keeping with the company’s commitment to authentic transformation.
Managing director Nash Omar first joined the business in 1981. Since then he has worked in every department and experienced all facets of business insurance and management.
Chairman Paolo Cavalieri and deputy chairman Rob Hallier joined Etana from Hollard, where they were CEO and CFO for 10 and 14 years respectively. During their tenure at Hollard, the company grew profitably and diversified substantially.
Etana’s shareholders are Hollard Insurance, the Hollard Foundation, a consortium of leading black businesswomen, and management.
The Etana board comprises Paolo Cavalieri (chairman), Rob Hallier (deputy chairman), Nash Omar (managing director), Bert Carlin, Abdul Ebrahim, Nic Kohler, Thuli Kumalo, , Matodzi Liphosa, Ntanja Ned, Kunyalala Maphisa, and Nomahlubi Simamane.
Etana is a member of Hollard’s group procurement programme, which ensures that our supplier base meets the BEE standards set out in the Financial Sector Charter.
Etana has a BEE rating of ‘A’.
