The Etana Academy is an accREDited learning facility dedicated to uplifting the skills of Etanans and all those connected to our broker network.
From assistance with FAIS preparation and specific skills training to personal development seminars and motivational sessions, the Etana Academy meets a wide range of training and development needs across the country.
Our focus for 2013 includes:
Insurance Simulation, in which participants manage a short-term mock insurance company over four annual cycles, overseeing business dimensions such as budget, balance sheets, financial statements, unwritten premium reserve, gross written premium, return on investment, financial ratios and more. The simulation ends with a presentation to a very competent panel of “shareholders”, who must be persuaded to reinvest in the respective businesses. Simulations will be held in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg during the course of 2013. Insurance for Dummies, a series of fun, interactive sessions which provide an overview of the short-term insurance industry for newcomers and those employed in support roles.
Etana Academy learnership, which includes:

On completion of the programme delegates receive an Etana Academy NQF level 4 short-term insurance qualification with the following specifications:

FETC: Short-term insurance
150 credits.
