Etana has signed agreements with Grandmark International and Windscreens Direct to help reduce the costs of windscreen replacements and to assist clients to lower their monthly premiums.

“The cost of replacing cracked or broken windscreen is on the rise,” explains Tania Steinkopf, who works within Etana’s Commercial and Industrial team in charge of all motor aspects. “By entering into agreements with these two preferred suppliers we will be able to curb these costs and pass some amazing savings on to policyholders.”

Etana paid out a total of 2 063 windscreen claims in the last three months of 2011, totalling more than R6 million, which means there is huge potential for many policyholders to benefit.

“Etana is passing savings on to clients by waiving windscreen excess requirements when either of these two suppliers is used to replace a windscreen. In addition, by using Grandmark International and Windscreens Direct, Etana’s windscreen claims bill is cut radically, allowing us to charge lower monthly premiums to clients.”

Both suppliers have fitment centres across South Africa in keeping with Etana’s “local is lekker” philosophy.
