On Friday 4 November insurance delegates from the Durban region congregated at the International Convention Centre for the annual Insurance Institute of KwaZulu-Natal (IIKZN) gala dinner.
Proceedings got under way with many talking about the Durban leg of the daREDevil run that took place that morning. And this spotlight on Etana was extended when Etanans Roop Brijlal and Zuriel Naiker were awarded for their services to the institute and for achievements gained.
“On Friday evening Roop was awarded for his 36 years of membership and service to the IIKZN,” says Zuriel. “He began his endeavours in the industry in 1975, working for numerous companies, whereafter he joined Etana with a wealth of experience as a broker consultant within the Durban branch.
“His latest accomplishments extend to him passing his RE examinations with flying colours, a magnificent achievement.”
Further achievements by Etanans were recognised by the IIKZN when Zuriel was presented an award for achieving the highest mark in the commercial insurance module for the programme in insurance through the Insurance Institute of South Africa and the University of South Africa. This award was kindly sponsored by the Commercial and Industrial Acceptances.
From here Zuriel is working towards furthering his studies and gaining further accolades within these insurance modules.
The evening was an incredible experience for both Roop and Zuriel, with both deserving the congratulations and recognition they received. And fellow Etanans from Durban, Pietermaritzburg and Johannesburg were also in attendance to see their team members being rewarded for their efforts.
Etana Insurance would like to congratulate Roop and Zuriel on their achievements and thank them for their incredible contributions to the industry and our company.
