Knowing your stuff in an exciting, interesting and constantly developing industry is key to achieving long-term goals. And because everyone has to start somewhere, the Etana Academy offers training sessions where Etanans and brokers can grasp the basics of insurance.
The course content focuses on the general principles of insurance risks, claims, customer satisfaction, background information pertaining to re-insurance, business interruption, public liability and underwriting.
“Our lecturer, Elmarie de Wet, is open and engaging,” says Etanan Gregory Scott. “She gives practical insurance examples to help us understand tricky terminology. I believe these sessions are a great opportunity to learn more and build relationships with fellow team members and importantly, our brokers.
“I would recommend this training to anyone wanting a solid understanding of insurance. The course also helps everyone become familiar with Etana’s policy wording, which enables brokers to correctly represent Etana and ensures that the policy holder is better informed when it comes to making a claim. In my mind, this once again confirms that knowledge is power,” concludes Gregory.
