Hard work pays off as Etana students impress with their year’s work

In the Etana Academy programme, Etana conducts a year-long course for students on elements of short-term insurance. The company also provides students with the opportunity of obtaining work experience and, after passing the course, students are handed a short-term insurance qualification.

The Etana Academy training sessions that have taken place so far during 2011 have been a resounding success. Sessions have had great uptake, with brokers and Etanans showing a keen interest in these courses and filling classes to capacity.

Strong attendance at nationwide Etana Academy workshops

Throughout the course of 2011 Etana’s “local is lekker” philosophy has been upheld by holding Regulatory Examination workshops throughout the company’s branch networks across South Africa. These sessions help prepare brokers and Etanans for this requirement, which is an industry norm, ensuring that they have the potential and ability to pass first time round.

More and more brokers and Etanans are passing the RE exams because brokers are amazing and so are Etanans. We hesitate to brag, but the truth is the truth!

Etanans’ RE pass rate well above national average

Etana Summer School attendees who have written their industry regulatory examinations (RE) have recorded a pass rate well in excess of the current national average.

“This is a really encouraging sign and a vindication of the effort that has gone into these preparatory workshops,” says Etana Academy head Fatima Maharaj.

Etana summer school to empower incREDible brokers for FSB exams

The Etana Academy will be providing support for anyone in the Etana broker fraternity who is required to write mandatory Financial Services Board (FSB) examinations.

To make the exams as painless as possible, Etana has organised a series of two-day intensive courses at all its “local is lekker” branches. The educational sessions will cover all the material contained in the FSB exams. In addition, we’ll give you the opportunity to write the exam in our offices, directly after the course.

Durban brokers undergo academy training

Durban brokers were introduced to Etana’s new advanced risk evaluation system and other insurance-related topics, at an Etana Academy session held at the Durban Country Club recently.
