Aaron Mrabalala

Aaron Mrabalala is a proud Etanan working in the Johannesburg claims team – the core of Etana’s business.

This jovial character is extremely passionate about his job, and is always willing to lend a hand for any Etana cause. For instance, he had no gripes when we asked him to run onto the Coca Cola Park rugby field in a daREDevil speedo in front of a full house.

Abdul Ebrahim

Abdul Ebrahim is Etana’s foremost Commercial and Industrial insurance expert. His vast insurance knowledge has been amassed over a period of 30 years, and is surpassed in volume only by his abundant charm. Abdul has actually worked with microfiche.

Alida Prinsloo

At work they call me Tannie.

At which branch are you based?
Polokwane.

Amore Strydom

Amore Strydom is the personal assistant of Etana Pretoria branch manager Justin Naylor. She began her adventures within the insurance industry in 2002 at Hollard before joining Etana in 2008. 

Andre van der Merwe

Andre van der Merwe worked at Munich Re, Glenrand MIB and Mutual and Federal before he joined Etana Insurance in 2008, heading up the company’s Corporate Centre of Excellence (COE).

Angelique van Heerden

At the beginning of December last year Anjelique joined the claims team at Etana Construction, Engineering and Guarantees in Cape Town. “It feels great to be part of an organisation that believes in its team members,” says Angelique.

Anita Gardiner

Do you have a nickname?
Tazzy.

At which branch/in which area are you based?
In our Johannesburg offices in Parktown.

Annetjie Hall

At which branch/in which area are you based?
I work for Etana’s Agri team in Malmesbury.

What do you do?
Our Agri team does business insurance and I handle the claims that come in. In addition I handle our product line administration and marketing, and train fellow team members.

Antoinette Roux

Do you have a nickname?
Actually, I have quite a few nicknames. People call me Ant, Antoi or Antoe.

At which branch are you based?
I am based in Pretoria.

Anton Lategan

Do you have a nickname?

Some guys at Etana call me Ant and I have also been called Latie outside of work.

I am at Head Office Technical.

Archie Smith

In which branch/area are you based?
Durban.

What do you do?
I am part of the fantastic risk management team.

Cape Town’s Construction, Engineering and Guarantees team is thrilled to have Benita van Rensburg, otherwise known as Binnie, Bin or B, on board.

Bonita Weeks

Many authors subscribe to the belief that in our professional lives we should choose a field that we’re passionate about. Bonita Weeks, better known as Bons by her fellow Durban Etanans, is a qualified skipper who thoroughly enjoys boating.

Brenda Wood

Meet Brenda Wood from Etana Johannesburg. Brenda is personal assistant to Nick Swart, Kobus van Niekerk and the Centres of Excellence. Before joining Etana two years ago, Brenda worked in marketing and administration and had a brief stint in advertising sales.

Brian Algar

More easily recognisable when he’s behind the steering wheel of a fast car on the racetrack, Etanan Brian Algar is a member of Etana’s new business team.

“I work countrywide, but am based in Johannesburg, from where I work on adding value to Etana branches and Centres of Excellence,” he says.

Cecilia Rossouw

Cecilia Rossouw joined Etana Insurance on 1 December 2010, and works in the Pretoria branch’s underwriting team.

Celina Bhima

Celina Bhima, Celinetjie to her Afrikaans friends, joined the administration side of Etana Johannesburg’s marine department nearly three years ago.
“It’s great to know that I work with people who are the best and who give of their best,” says Celina.
