Please explain what you do.
Underwriting endorsements, liaison with brokers, handling renewals, issuing new business and day-to-day tasks associated with underwriting.

How long have you been with Etana? What did you do before this?
I have been here for 10 months on contract. I started my insurance career many moons ago with IGI Insurance Company. Prior to that I was with Mutual & Federal in the claims department for 10 years.

Etana believes in employing and working with only the best. How do you feel about this?
That is absolutely true!

Etana has specific values – be open, know, grow, make it happen and give. How do you feel about these and have you seen other Etanans showcase these values since you joined the company?
From my point of view, Polokwane staff really work together as a team and go the extra mile to keep brokers impressed with our service.

Provide a fun fact about yourself, what you enjoy doing in your free time or a special characteristic!
I love people and I enjoy entertaining friends.

What have you enjoyed most about Etana since joining the company?
The feeling of belonging to a company that cares about its staff and their well-being. This is something that I’ve never experienced before in the insurance industry.

Tell us more about your family…
I have been married to my hubby for 43 years. I have two sons, one in England and the other in the Netherlands. Our daughter lives in Polokwane with my two great grandchildren, who love to be spoilt by their granny.
