Do you have a nickname?

Some guys at Etana call me Ant and I have also been called Latie outside of work.

At which branch/area are you based?

I am at Head Office Technical.

What do you do?

I’m the internal auditor, theoretically the person who looks at the internal control environment of the business. The objective is to identify and control weaknesses and recommend appropriate solutions, thereby ensuring that risk exposure is minimised.

How long have you been with Etana and what did you do before you joined?

I joined Etana in August 2010. Before that I worked at Bidvest as a divisional audit manager. In the late 90s I worked at Fedsure, auditing Fedgen, Nash, Abdul and all the others from those days!

Etana believes in employing and working with only the best. How do you feel about this?

Would I be working here if I didn’t feel good about it? Sure, I like it!

Etana has specific values – be open, grow, make it happen and give. How do you feel about these and have you seen them in other Etanans?

I like the values and yes, you can feel them at work and see Etanas reflect them.

Provide a fun fact about yourself, what you enjoy doing in your free time or a special characteristic about yourself.

I’m nuts about golf and love deep-sea fishing.

What have you enjoyed most about Etana since joining the company?

The freedom to make a difference anywhere…

Tell us more about your family.

My lovely wife’s name is Bernice. I also have a daughter writing matric this year and she always gives me good hug before bedtime. I also have a son who moved out of home in November.

What is your favourite RED thing?

A fishing lure, of course, but it must have a touch of white as well, just like Etana.

Anything else you’d like to share?

Anything you want except my wife, my Hilux 4x4, my guns, my fishing rods and my golf clubs. Money I don’t have anyway. Oh… you actually meant “tell you” – nope.
